Pentest Navigator

Beta Terms of Use

Version 2026-09-10-beta.5 · Effective 10 September 2026

1. Provider and scope

These Terms govern the use of the Pentest Navigator beta. General enquiries about the beta can be sent to info@pentest-navigator.com. Complete provider and address-for-service information must be published before public production operation. Different terms apply only where expressly agreed.

2. Beta status

The application is under active development. Features may be incomplete, defective, temporarily unavailable or changed without notice. No commitment is made regarding continuous availability, freedom from errors, data retention or a particular feature set. The beta is not a guaranteed production service and is not a substitute for professional or legal review.

3. Authorised security testing only

You may use the application only lawfully:

Unauthorised access, attacks against third parties, circumvention of safeguards, malware and unlawful content are prohibited. You are responsible for obtaining all required approvals and for the consequences of your tests.

4. No secrets or sensitive production data

In particular, you must not enter or upload:

Use synthetic, anonymised or sufficiently redacted data. Mere pseudonymisation does not automatically make personal data anonymous.

5. Your responsibility, verification and backups

You use the beta at your own risk. Do not use it as your sole archive. Create regular independent exports and backups. Verify reports, findings, classifications, scans and all other output before use or disclosure. Automatically generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete.

6. Account and access security

Keep credentials confidential, use strong and unique passwords, and secure your email and identity-provider accounts. Do not share accounts. Report suspected compromise without delay. Actions performed through your account are attributable to you to the extent that you are responsible for them.

Email-link sign-in and email-based recovery depend on your continued control of the verified email address. Keep that address current. If you lose access and have not configured another sign-in method that is permitted for your account, access to the account and its content may be permanently unrecoverable. Manual account recovery is not guaranteed during the beta.

7. Content and rights

You retain your rights in content that you lawfully submit and warrant that you are entitled to use it. You grant the provider the rights technically necessary to process that content for service delivery, security, backup and troubleshooting. Pentest Navigator and its own components remain proprietary. Third-party rights remain unaffected.

8. Suspension and end of the beta

Access may be restricted or suspended in response to security risks, misuse, unlawful activity or a breach of these Terms. The beta may be discontinued. Export any permitted content you need in good time; permanent retention is not guaranteed.

Leaving a workspace or deleting an account can permanently remove personal content after the applicable confirmation and retention process. Export permitted content before requesting deletion. Shared project records may remain with the project where another authorised owner must retain them.

9. Liability

The provider has unlimited liability for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, liability under the German Product Liability Act, and any expressly assumed guarantee. For a slightly negligent breach of an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the foreseeable loss typical for the contract. Liability for other slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory claims remain unaffected.

10. Changes

These Terms may be updated to reflect new features, security requirements or changes in law. The displayed version applies when new acceptance is requested. Material changes will be identified in the application.

11. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, this applies only to the extent that it does not remove mandatory protection under the law of their habitual residence. A place of jurisdiction is agreed only where legally permissible. If a provision is ineffective, the remaining provisions remain unaffected and the applicable statutory rule takes its place.
